Robbert-Jan Lindeman

Co-founder / Surgeon

Robbert-Jan Lindeman is a surgeon specializing in gastrointestinal surgery at Stavanger University Hospital and Co-Founder of Alfred Surgery. Working as a clinician gave him a direct view of how surgical training works in practice, and what it needs to work better.

As one of the driving forces behind Alfred Surgery, he works to build structured, scalable surgical training that fits naturally into clinical workflows. The goal is to make high-quality training accessible to surgical teams at every level, across institutions and borders.

Robbert-Jan is deeply committed to global surgery. As a founding member of the Norwegian International Hernia Team, he works to develop sustainable training programs for surgeons in low- and middle-income countries. He also serves on the board of the Norwegian Hernia Association and is a member of the educational committee of the European Hernia Society.
