Knut Borch, MD, PhD, is a consultant surgeon at the University Hospital of North Norway, where he leads the Abdominal Wall Unit. He is also the founder of Alfred Surgery, an innovative platform dedicated to advancing surgical education and training. Dr. Borch specializes in abdominal and general surgery, with a strong focus on complex hernia repair, patient safety, and modern surgical teaching.

Since 2021, he has served as Secretary of Education in the European Hernia Society, promoting structured training and international collaboration in the field of hernia surgery.
